Former Royal New Zealand Ballet dancer & postgraduate sports nutrition student

I'm Lara Flannery, the creator of Feedinglara - a Wellington-based platform specialising in grain-free, gut-friendly baking. After retiring from the Royal New Zealand Ballet due to injury, I began studying sports nutrition and started asking a question I'd never fully answered during my dancing years: what does it actually mean to nourish a body that performs?

Feeding Lara was born from my own gut health journey - navigating SIBO, histamine intolerance, and a complicated relationship with food that began at ballet school. Everything I share here is rooted in both lived experience and nutrition science. My recipes are grain-free, gut-friendly, and genuinely delicious - because feeling good should never mean giving up food you love.

I work with wellness and nutrition brands to create professional recipe content, food photography, and short-form video - all in-house, from concept to final edit. Current brand partners include Mitchells Nutrition, BePure, Matakana Superfoods, and Cinderella.
